  • The Night Sounds for Sleeping album contains six sessions designed to help you sleep quicker and better. The sessions rely on a variety of entrainment protocols, from SMR waves to Schumann resonance to Theta to Delta. The protocols are accompanied by the sounds of a forest at nighttime, which helps to calm your consciousness while the brainwave entrainment calms the rest of your mind.

     

    • Mental Training for Insomnia (20:00)
      This session helps train the brain to produce more of the rhythms that are important to sleep: SMR waves. It has been noted by EEF researchers that insomniacs tend to have a particular lack of SMR waves, so the idea behind this session is to train the brain to produce more of these rhythms and therefore help train the brain to fall asleep - and stay asleep - on its own. This session is to be used when awake, to train the brain to be better equipped to fall asleep on its own, but is not to be used when trying to fall asleep.

    • Fall Asleep! Night Sounds Sleep Induction (50:00)
      This is a simple but powerful sleep session that guides the mind down to a deep delta state with the soothing night nature sounds in the background.

    • Fall Asleep! Night Sounds Dissociative Sleep Induction (50:00)
      (Same as the "regular" sleep induction session except for the protocol which is described next.) This session also uses a technique called Dissociation which is particularly useful for people who are restless and have trouble relaxing.

    • Tune Out and Fall Asleep! Night Sounds Sleep Induction for Chattery Minds (40:00)
      Helps induce sleep for people who have frequent insomnia due to overactive, chattery minds - with soothing night nature sounds in the background. This session ramps down to the "schumann resonance" frequency, 7.83 Hz, or high theta. This protocol seems to be particularly useful at inducing sleep in those who have insomnia due to overactive, chattery minds.

    • Tune Out and Fall Asleep! Night Sounds Dissociative Sleep Induction for Chattery Minds (40:00)
      (Same as the previous session except for the protocol which is described next.) This session also uses a technique called Dissociation which is particularly useful for people who are restless and have trouble relaxing.

    • Stay Asleep! Night Sounds Sleep Session (74:00)
      Sleep session that is designed to be used when asleep, if needed - on repeat - to help the listener maintain healthy sleep. As such, it is designed to be played after the sleep induction sessions.

Album Instructions

  • Use your choice of sleep induction sessions while in bed, to help guide your brain down to a state of deep, natural sleep. After starting the session, close your eyes and relax.

    The one session that uses "dissociation" as a relaxation method requires the use of headphones. All other sessions can be played with or without headphones, however is most comfortable.

    Use the "Mental Training for Insomnia" session to help train your brain to produce rhythms that are important to sleep.

    Please note that this session is not designed to put you to sleep. Instead, it is meant to be used over a longer period of time - when awake - to make falling asleep easier in the future.

    The "Mental Training for Insomnia" session should be listened to in a quiet, comfortable place that is free of distractions. It is recommended that you listen to the session in a chair or lying down. After starting the session, close your eyes and relax.

    This session can be played with or without headphones, although if you are in a noisy environment headphones are recommended.

    During the session, you should remain as calm and relaxed as possible.
